Nevada State Convention
May 30
Starts at 10:00 AM
The National Federation of the Blind of Nevada invites members, families, professionals, community partners, and supporters to attend the 2026 State Convention. This annual gathering offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the latest initiatives of the organized blind movement, gain practical knowledge in blindness skills and technology, and participate in discussions that shape the future of our work in Nevada.
The convention will feature engaging presentations, informative workshops, networking opportunities, and affiliate activities designed to strengthen local chapters and empower blind individuals across the state.
Throughout the day, attendees will hear from our National Representative, Sheila Wright, President of the National Federation of the Blind of Missouri and member of the NFB Board of Directors. As a national leader within the Federation, Sheila brings extensive experience in advocacy, leadership development, and organizational growth. Speakers will address a wide range of topics of state and national importance, including advocacy, accessibility, membership growth, services for seniors, technology advancements, Braille literacy, guide dog use, student initiatives, and issues affecting parents of blind children.
Location
The 2026 State Convention meetings will be held at:
Mountain Falls Golf Course – Grill Room
5001 Clubhouse Drive
Pahrump, Nevada
The banquet hall at the country club will serve as the official meeting space for the convention.
