State Scholarship Program

NFB of Nevada Unity Scholarship

The National Federation of the Blind of Nevada has broadened its commitment to blind college students and would like to recognize their achievements by awarding two students merit-based scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $3,000. All scholarships awarded are based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership. Any legally blind, full-time college student or graduating high school seniors who will be attending college full-time in the 2025-2026 scholastic year may apply. All finalists must attend the entire National Federation of the Blind of Nevada state convention, to be held in April. All blind high school seniors and college students are encouraged to apply! Essay Contest

National Scholarship Program

Every year, the National Federation of the Blind awards more than $240,000 to blind scholars across the fifty states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico in recognition of their achievements and professional aspirations. The scholarship program is our commitment to academic excellence and leadership among blind students, and each winner is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, community service, and leadership. The application deadline for the national scholarship program is March 31. The deadline for the state scholarship program is March 25.
